The original of this menu was complied, when at the last minute a client I was coding a job for Zenful Creations, wanted a dropdown menu. We had already created the graphics for the menu bar, and they wanted to keep those. In the wee hours of the night, I went and gathered the Suckerfish code, then I turned to my bookmarks only to discover that alistapart.com was not connecting, next bookmark took me to Navigation Matrix where I discovered a "Reloaded" update. After working with these two systems for a while, I had one more problem. The dropdown sub-menu on the right expanded to the right, right off of the layout. I turned to the css master and the method used for pure CSS menus.
While I could expand farther upon this system, it would be best, in my opinion, if you reviewed the links below and read the thoughts of the original creators. You might even be able to improve upon this system. The code found on this page is complete and usable.
Two graphics are used for this menu. One is a clear.gif used to create the links over the graphic menubar at the top. The other is the sprite graphic which has all of the other graphical data needed:![]()
